Matthew McTaggart

You break it, you ficsit.

I am a software engineer with experience in medical technology and financial services.

Out of university, I worked on image-guided intervention systems for bronchoscopy, focusing on route planning and surgical workflows during my time in San Jose, California. As a current passion project, I am researching and developing a copilot system for detecting, segmenting, and classifying lung nodules for radiologists.

After moving back to the Cayman Islands, I broadened my scope into financial services. I began this transition working in analytics and operations for commodity-based hedge funds. In March 2026, I will be joining Harmonic Fund Services to broaden my perspective and enterprise toolset with respect to fund services.

In general, I enjoy designing and implementing software systems that automate tasks, create new workflows, and represent data in different ways.

In my free time, I enjoy brewing coffee and tea, running and sports, drumming and music, and video and board games.

If you would like to get in touch, feel free to email me or reach out on social media. My projects are hosted on GitLab and GitHub, and you are welcome to visit or contribute.
